Consultancy
Whether you are putting in accounting software for the first time or replacing an existing system you may want some help in selecting the right package for your business. When you take up our consultancy service we will review your existing systems and procedures and discuss your likely future requirements. Careful planning at this stage can pay enormous dividends later on, it's worth taking the time to make sure that you get the right system.
We can also help you to work out a project plan to make sure that nothing is forgotten and that the changeover to a new system goes smoothly. If necessary we can help you to formulate new procedures to cover any changes in working practices and also help you to work out a training schedule so that there is the minimum disruption to your day-to-day business. We want you to make sure that you are happy with your new system and with every stage of the implementation.
Installation
We recommend that you take up this option and ask us to install the software for you. This is particularly important for networked versions or where data is held remotely and can help to avoid support problems in the future.
Configuration
Configuring the software correctly is vitally important if you are to get the best from your new system. The standard chart of accounts isn't always suitable for every business, if so we can design a new one. If required we can liaise with your Advisors to make sure that the new system will produce the right information when it comes to Year-End and if you are putting in a computerised system for the first time we can make sure that your opening balances are entered correctly. Or, if you have an existing system it is often possible to convert your current data to load into the new software. We also have experience of writing many different kinds of specialised reports across a wide range of businesses.
Training
One of the best ways of making sure that you get the most from your investment in a new, or existing, accounts system is to take up training for you and your staff. Experienced computer users can sometimes find their way around a new accounts system, but for inexperienced users it can be daunting to say the least! However, even "old hands" can benefit from training on a new system because there are always new features and shortcuts to learn. We can run standard training courses if you wish, but we prefer to train with real data so that your staff are dealing with information that is familiar to them. This helps them to retain their new knowledge when it comes to using a "live" system for the first time. We will also ensure that your staff are taught about the importance of backing up data and the general "house-keeping" procedures that will keep your system running smoothly.
Software Support
Taking out Software Support is important for your peace of mind. It means that your staff can call if they need help with an unfamiliar procedure, it also means that you will receive timely notification of upgrades and improvements to your software. Also, in the unlikely event of a problem, you can be sure of having someone at the end of the phone to help you put it right.
